A passion for perfection

Buildaboat is established and ownd by Jan Pedersen. 

We made our first boatkit, the OK dinghy, in 2006.

Our goal was to make it easy to build yourself a fast and super optimized OK. Plywood was the natural choice as the OK was originally designed for this material.

We saw great opportunities in combining modern CNC cut technology and the use of epoxy for bonding and surface treatment to create a super dinghy.

Our philosophy was, and still is, to make it easy to build your own boat with a good result.

Our range includes our own designed sportboat the db-22 and the one-design OK-dinghy.

We also supply boat-related equipment and accessories for the home boatbuilder.

Our boat kits include pre-cut marine grade plywood parts, construction manuals and a set of plans  – everything you need to build your dream boat.

For your ease and accuracy, the plywood parts are cut using the most modern CAD/CAM software and CNC machines.

Our boatplans packages include CAD cut files, Plans and building manuals.
